Moved across to the far side of the island to Western KI Caravan Park for the remaining 4 nights. Hansons Bay and Vivonne Bay were lovely. Found a crayfish shed at Vivonne Bay and bought some for dinner ($40 a kilo). Nice caravan park with wallabies, kangaroos and koalas round the camp.
Went to Seal Bay - a group of Australian Sealions. With a guided tour we were able to get right down on the beach with them.
We went to see the NZ fur seals at Admirals Arch. It was unset which is a good time to go. Saw kangaroos, possums and wallabies on the roadside as we were heading back to camp.
We did the Platypus Walk but at the wrong time of day so didn't see any platypus. The Borda Lighthouse tour was really interesting and we got a good insight to the history and ealry immigrants to South Australia.
The crossing back to Cape Jervis was nice and calm and we stopped at Second valley again for a couple of nights before moving on. Paj caught a few more squid so we cooked some up and froze the rest.
