Leg 6 - Yorke Peninsula

Now its day 18.  We made our way through Adelaide and round to the Yorke Peninsula.  We had a break at Ardrossa and again at Port Vincent.  Port Vincent was nice but the caravan park was packed so we kept going down to Edithburgh at the foot of the peninsula. The caravan park was on the waterfront which was nice but windy.

Explored the foot of the peninsula.  The south coast was nice. The wind farm was spectacular compared with others we have seen because of the number of windmills - more than 50.  We made our way round to the east coast up to Corny Point Lighthouse and on to Port Turton.  Port Turton is a beautiful sport.

After 2 nights we moved up to the north of the Peninsula and based ourselves at the Wallaroo North Beach Caravan park.  We had a lovely beach front site. We went up to Port Broughton and Fishermans Bay.  Wallaroo and the surrounding area are expanding fast with lots of new development.  North Beach where we stayed has a new canal residential area under construction similar to Mandura in WA.
