On the road early and stoped at a couple of scenic
lookouts along the Great Australian Bight. Sone really spectacular
cliffs. We continued on to the Nullarbor
Roadhouse where we had a break. There were a couple of dingos
wandering around. The next stretch was called the treeless plain - not a
tree in sight. The landscape round here is very flat and boring, just
low scrub. Once we got to Yalata the
landscape suddenly changed to wheat farms. Wheat as far as the eye
could see and every town we drove through had huge silo complexes. We made our way to Ceduna and
checked in to the Ceduna Foreshore Caravan Park for 2 nights so we could
have a break from driving and catch up on laundry etc.
Now Day 5 and we had a nice easy day. We went fishing on the jetty
and caught a few whiting. Caught up with laundry and other chores
and stocked up on a few supplies. Ceduna is a pretty little town.
We saw more aborigines here than we have seen before. There are a
couple of large aboriginal communities in the surrounding area and
Ceduna is their nearest main centre. Sunset on the waterfront was quite
spectacular.
