Heading East 2009
Introduction
We are on the road again! Sunday 28th June we set off from Perth up the Great Northern Highway (the inland route). Our plan was to get up to the northern coastline as quickly as we could then start slowing down. We were pleased to get away from Perth’s wet and windy weather. We had an over night stop at Mt Magnet and another at Newman then we stopped for 2 nights at a lovely roadside stop on the De Grey River just east of Port Headland. We had a couple of nights at Eighty Mile Beach and from there it was 2 more roadside overnighters before arriving in Kununarra on the 6th July. We stayed here 4 nights.
