Paj and Heather's Big Adventure 2008
Introduction
Well, we are off again. This time we are headed up north to the Pilbara and Kimberly regions of Western Australia before crossing into the Northern Territory to Darwin and down the Centre. Which way we go from Alice Springs will depend on conditions when we get there. We will either cut across to Kalgoolie or continue down to the south coast before heading back to Perth. That is the plan at this stage.
As with our trip to South Australia last year we will be keeping you up to date with our travels and updating the photos on this site as we go along. Both of us will be taking photos. Heather has a Canon G9 and Paj has a Canon 10D and 5D with both a wide angle and telescopic lens. The photos you see will be a selection from both. We try to keep the colour as near to what we see it and the pictures with as little manipulation as possible. Please note that sky in Australia is very blue and earth is very red.
This year we have a new car. A Landcruiser 200 series, with the usual touring upgrade. Still the same caravan as the last trip but that might not last long. Living in it long term like we are is proving to be a problem due to the lack of storage. It was great for the 6 weeks/short term trip but travelling for 6 months you need 4 seasons of clothes and a lot more gear!
